Volunteers Needed Our PTA is volunteer powered. We are always looking for volunteers to help make our activities and events sponsored by PTA more fulfilling for our children. Currently we are seeking volunteers in the following areas: YEARBOOK COMMITTEE NEEDED - We are in need of a few good people to help coordinate our school year book! The different areas we need help with are:
If you would be able to help out, please contact the PTA Board.* Fall Fundraiser - We will be in need of volunteers for delivery and distribution of the orders that will come in two to three weeks after the end of the fundraiser. We are aiming to coordinate this with Parent/Teacher Conferences. As the delivery date gets closer, we will have more specific dates and times when we will be in need of help. Scrip/eScrip Coordinator - With assistance from the PTA Board, this coordinator would be responsible for coordinating and managing the Scrip program, managing the eScrip program, coordinating volunteers to sell Scrip after school hopefully at least once a week, if not twice a week. Because this position is not a Board position this person would not have to attend every PTA general meeting, although they could. Periodic updates would be sent to the PTA President to be presented at the meetings. If you’re interested, or would just like to talk a bit more about it, please contact us.
New Family Buddies This Coordinator will work very closely with the Membership VP. We know how hard it can be to be that “new family” to a school. Whether your child was starting Kindergarten at a new school, or you’d recently moved to the area. This transition can be very hard when trying to find out what’s going on at the school, what activities there are, what events might be happening, etc. We are thinking about starting a reach-out program called “New Family Buddies.” The buddies would be paired with a new BO family and would get them information such as dates of special events, when Back to School night is, what activities they might want to be involved in, etc. In working with the Membership VP, this coordinator would be in charge of pairing the new families to the school with a buddy, keeping in touch with the buddy to make sure that they’ve reached out to the new family, etc. If you’re interested, or would just like to talk a bit more about it, please contact us.
